Return & Refund Policy

At Golden State Dressage LLC, we want you to be completely satisfied with every purchase. If for any reason you're not happy with your order, we offer a straightforward return and refund process. Please read this policy carefully before initiating a return.

30-Day Return Window

You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to your original payment method. The 30-day window begins on the date the delivery was confirmed by the carrier.

To be eligible for a return, items must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Item must be unworn and unused
  • Item must be unwashed
  • Item must have all original tags attached
  • Item must be in its original packaging condition
  • Item must not be altered, damaged, or stained

Items that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted for return. If a non-eligible item is sent to us, it will be returned to you at your expense.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Items worn or washed after receipt
  • Items with removed or damaged original tags
  • Customized or monogrammed items
  • Gift cards
  • Items marked "Final Sale" at time of purchase

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, follow these steps:

  1. Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Return Request — Order #[your order number]"
  2. Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return
  3. We will respond within 1–2 business days with a prepaid USPS return shipping label
  4. Pack the item securely in its original packaging if possible, and attach the prepaid label
  5. Drop the package off at any USPS location or schedule a pickup
  6. Once we receive and inspect the return, we will process your refund

Return Shipping

We provide a prepaid return shipping label for all eligible returns within the contiguous United States. There is no cost to you to return an eligible item. For returns from Alaska or Hawaii, please contact us for instructions.

Refund Processing

Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it within 1–2 business days. If the return meets our eligibility requirements, your refund will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method (PayPal balance or credit/debit card).

You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been issued. Please note that while we process refunds promptly, it may take an additional 3–7 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges at this time. If you need a different size or color, we recommend:

  1. Initiating a return for the original item by emailing [email protected]
  2. Placing a new order for the correct item on sokachick.com

This ensures you receive your new item as quickly as possible, without waiting for the return to be processed. Your refund will be processed within 5–10 business days of us receiving your return.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of delivery. Include:

  • Your order number
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Photos showing the damage or defect

We will arrange a replacement shipment or issue a full refund at no additional cost. Damaged and defective items are handled separately from our standard return policy and are not subject to the standard eligibility requirements.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received your refund within 10 business days of our confirmation email, please:

  1. Check your bank account or PayPal balance again
  2. Contact your bank or PayPal — processing times can vary
  3. If you've done all of the above and still haven't received your refund, contact us at [email protected]
